September 19, 2007  |  Engagement

melissacraig.jpg

Today we were on a beach on Long Island… and the light was wonderful.  We spent the better part of an hour or so in the sand and surf shooting this E-Session. Craig (who has a background in acrobatics) performed a backflip off the boardwalk and landed, without falling, into the sand – much to our consternation and amazement. He had some serious air! Melissa & Craig are very much locals to the area and are quite at home on the beach – which is such a great part of LI living.

Maternity

maternity.jpg

This was an in-home portrait session over by the United Nations building on the east side. We brought a couple of bags of equipment including backdrops and minimal lighting to create a mini-studio that we can set-up in 20 minutes. It’s actually quite a challenge to create a “studio” setting on the fly, but that’s all part of the fun. In the end we used a lot of natural light that flooded in to the apartment and the results speak for themselves. – Alistair

Victoria is set to check into the hospital on Friday! We wanted to give her a peek before she goes in. Oh boy! or GIRL!! – Catherine

Wedding

fionaal.jpg

Today we were celebrating the wedding of Fiona & Al. Their ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Middletown, NY. We stopped to have a bit of fun at Bear Mountain State Park and then onto the Pearl River Hilton for the reception. They danced with family & friends all night! Much happiness to the new couple and I want to add “ha, ha, ha, ha” Fiona knows what that means.

and Bishop!!! We cannot forget Bishop! He stole the show. We had a great time, and Diane & Craig have a great gallery with many pictures to choose from without Bishop, but I had to let everyone see just how cute he is! (Can you tell I’m a dog person??)

lisatom.jpg

Today Alistair was with Lisa & Tom. The happy couple were married at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Poughkeepsie, New York and then onto the reception at the historic Clermont House in Germantown, New York. Lisa looked absolutely stunning, as did Tom. We both wish the newlyweds much happiness, lots of love and many many laughs.

Earlier this week we received an email from Colette, she was flying to New York to marry her fiance, Stuart. The first thing I thought was how ROMANTIC!!!! We ended up meeting with Colette & Stuart in Central Park to capture photos of their ceremony at Shakespeare Gardens followed by some formals in Central Park. Much happiness to the newlyweds!

All this Central Park romance…Woody Allen would be pleased. Did he shoot the wedding video? If so, be warned…he’ll probably want to do at least 50% reshoots!
