Friends & family gathered at The Gardens at Catlin Creek in Slate Hill, NY for the joyus event.

The bride & groom danced the night away to the entertainment provided by Common Ground Orchestra. They kept the dance floor crowded all night.

Best wishes to an extrodinary couple.

Catherine, you are the best!!! Your work is remarkable as are you. When you shoot a wedding the bride and groom feel like a close friend is taking intimate pictures but we didn’t even know you were there sometimes. A true professional – you made our day!!!

Kennebunkport Wedding

September 16, 2006  |  Destination Wedding

We found ourselves in Kennebunkport, Maine for a wedding. And what a wedding it was!

The ceremony was on the beach and the weather was on our side, which was a big suprise considering the rain the night before.

The reception was held at the Colony Hotel in the grand ballroom.

The bride & groom own two dogs, one happens to be a weimaraner. And he reminded me very much of my girls. The lobsters, well they are just a given when you go to Maine.

A boat ride…

Engagement

On Thursday the Bride & Groom and I decided to do an engagement session before at one of her favorite spots, the Marginal Way.

It was a bit cloudy and I was hoping the rain would hold off for the ride. By the time the we boarded the boat it began to drizzle. The boat took off from Perkins Cove and headed toward the Nubble lighthouse. Before I knew it we were floating in the Atlantic ocean off of Ogunquit, Maine.

The seas were a bit choppy, and I am sure that at some point I turned green but I wouldn’t have missed it.

A lesson for all…

September 5, 2006  |  Wedding

A somber mood has fallen over my home because of the death of wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin. My daughter, an avid watcher of all of Irwin’s shows and a budding veternarian (even though we have a while before that dream comes to fruition) was quite upset at the news of his passing.

She had big plans to go to Australia and to meet Steve, his wife and their children at the zoo. After a few tears and lots of hugging we both realized how precious life is, a lesson learned at the expense of another.

Steve Irwin provided much entertainment over the past few years in our home but more importantly he made us aware of wildlife and how delicate nature is. Steve Irwin was more than an entertainer, he was a kind & giving individual and more so an educator. He should be remember for what he has done, unfortunately few know about his accomplishments and more know more about his croc’ wrestling.

So, to Steve Irwin, an educator, the world is a much better place because of you. And to his family, thank you for sharing him with the world. You are all in my prayers.

A wedding at Le Chambord

Wedding

We found ourselves at Le Chambord this weekend with a wonderful couple.

They danced the night away with many happy family members and friends. The bride even sang a song she wrote and dedicated it to her groom.

To the happy couple, may your lives be filled with happiness.
